My little one loves to try many different rides. She is fascinated by the lights and the colors and sounds and the movement that these amusement rides provide. When we went to the last Spring Festival here in Stuttgart, she wanted to try every ride that she could get her eyes on. You could just imagine my hubby's dismay when he realized that we spend almost €80 for her rides alone, in just one day! But I guess we could ignore the price for a while if it meant seeing her discovering and enjoying new things. Those moments alone are priceless.
When we travel and stop by service areas, she would smile with glee when she sees kiddie rides. Yes, my little girl is fascinated by these things... but which kid doesn't?
But because these amusement rides also come with a price, we sometimes just let her sit on the thing and allow her some time to enjoy the unmoving ride... she would press buttons and I would make sound effects for her to make the experience more fun. In these hard times, it is important for us mommies to be creative and keep from spending a penny. Trying to make a balancing act is difficult but is necessary.
