United World Poets

The following Blog Review is an official entry to Kaye and Pehpot's Blogversary Contest. If you haven't encountered this blog yet, read on to find out why it's worthy of a visit.

Believe it or not, there's a poet in all of us. It's the few simple lines that our hearts cry out to declare our multifarious emotions: our hopes and joys, our anxieties and sorrows. From the simplest haiku to the more complex sonnets, there's a poem out there waiting to be born.

I have always loved reading poems, especially those that speak of human nature and emotion. Among my favorite poets are Pablo Neruda and Pedro Arrupe, SJ. There's countless other poets out there. If you want to read about poems from poets at different parts of the planet, a good place to start is United World Poets. It's a social poetry community with members from all over the world: United States, Philippines, Pakistan, Canada, England, and India to name a few.

Here, members get to publish their poems, join poetry contests for a chance to win great cash prizes, upload videos and photos related to poetry, chat with other members and share news. It is an interactive site where poets get to connect with other poets and network with them. There are various poetry groups where members can join. You can get to know popular poets in this site too... look for Famous Poets under the Blogs tab. There's also poetry books up for sale, just check out the left sidebar... If you happen to author a poetry book and would like to sell it, you could also have it advertised in this site.

Awaken that little poet in you. Check United World Poets today!
