TCP#60: Back To The Future

Hello Couchers! So here I am at the internet cafe at the main train station. I have no IC at home. Whhhaaa!!! Our internet is yet to be installed on the 23rd... Gosh! To think that I am living here in Germany. Who would expect that you would still need to wait a long time just to get your internet connection back?

Anyway, I know it's a bit late for TCP but here I am anyway. I really had no time to post yesterday because I was sick. So my sincerest apologies to all Couchers for my absence. This Tuesday's theme is RETRO MOVIES... and when I say Retro, I mean the good old, wholesome 80's movies. Okay? Hehe!

The 80's was a time of many accomplishments. It was also the time when alien and sci-fi movies were the thing. So my pick will have to be Back to the Future. It simply is the finest time-travel film ever made and surely a symbol of 80's movie excellence. Starring Michael J. Fox as Marty McFly, this comedic science adventure film became an international phenomenon, so much so that it lead to the second and third films.

In the film, Marty accidentally travels back in time and learns his family history the best way, by being a part of it! How about that? I would have loved to travel back in time too, if it means understanding my parents and relatives better. Hehe! Marty's adventure in this film is unlike any other. Coupled with a witty, clever and highly developed script and excellent direction by no less than Robert Zemeckis, it is no wonder that this movie is virtually disliked by no one.

If you haven't seen this movie yet, you should! Or better yet, get the trilogy!

That's it for this week's TCP Couchers! Thanks for joining us and be sure to leave your TCP link at the linky below:

Thank you for joining us this week! I hope to see you all again next week for LIVING THE AMERICAN DREAM-Themed Movies. Goodbye for now and enjoy the rest of the week!

Hi Kikamz,

Grabe, i missed TCP terribly- after months of hibernation, m finally able to join again.

I hope mine is okay, its in the 70's, uber retro na (bwihihihi).

I love the Back to the Future series, kumpleto kami ng VHS tape nito when we were younger- o di vah VHS pa kaya retro talaga. Im sure kids today will still enjoy this movie, the way we did during our younger years.
