Birthday Fun At The Bowling Alley

Well I turned a year older last Saturday. There was actually no celebration planned. I didn't even cook or prepare anything special. But there was a planned Bowling Tournament organized by the Filipino German Association and we were also invited to participate so that we also went. There really wasn't any expectations on my part because it was after all, an affair for the entire Filipino community. But I really had a lot of fun with our friends.

Everyone really looked great in their various bowling outfits. Perhaps next year, we could get a sponsor and order rocawear shirts or similar for our uniform.  I played bowling and together with my group of Ate's from the Sto. Nino Group, competed with the other groups. I never had so much fun competing. We were all rusty at playing the game since it has been years since we held a bowling ball. The ones that I was accustomed to using back in my college days in the Philippines were entirely different. Hubby also participated and since there wasn't enough male members, they competed individually.

Throughout the three games that we had, I was only able to get one strike and one spare. You could guess the rest. But much to my surprise, we still won 5th Place overall. I wonder if there were only five groups? Lol! But one thing's for sure, we had a lot of fun!

There was even a birthday cake waiting for me! Thanks Ate Cherry!
