H2O (eitch two oh)

All of us know that water is life. In Chemistry, we learned that it is the universal solvent. We have also read or heard about water having so many therapeutic effects on the body. But some of us just take drinking water forgranted. Let me ask you, just how many of glasses of water do you drink in a day? Is this important? Let me tell you why.

If you are weight conscious, do not allow yourself to get dehydrated. Even a mild one can slow down your metabolism by 3%. If you eat 865kcal per meal, that would mean that your body burns 77.85kcal less.

Feeling fatigued during the day? Having back and joint pains lately? Drink lots of water... that will make it go away.

For most of us who are working in the office, our hectic schedule deprives us from eating our meals on time or drinking water in between meetings. We just spend so much time in front of the computer or sitting in meetings that we forget about it. If you feel that you have fuzzy short-term memory, trouble with basic math, and difficulty in focusing on the computer screen or a printed page, it is your body telling you that your body water may have dropped to 2%. So, go have a drink!

If you are afraid of getting cancer, then by all means drink your water regularly. Drinking five glasses a day decreases the risk of colon cancer by 45%, can slash the risk of breast cancer by 79%, and will 50% less likely to develop bladder cancer.

So, are you drinking enough water?
