Celiac Disease.... Did You Know?

1 out of 133 persons has celiac disease. Are you the one?"

This is the first time that I have heard about celiac disease. From what I have read, it is a digestive disease that damages the small intestines. Symptoms vary from person to person and is quite difficult to detect because its symptoms are similar to other diseases. Common symptoms include diarrhea and abdominal pains, gas, behavioral changes, and weight loss among others. A person having this disease may have the symptoms or none at all. This is why it is quite difficult to detect and diagnose. So, if you feel that you have the symptoms and just want to be sure, do feel free to see a medical professional. It is better to be safe than sorry.
