In My Psyche

The following Blog Review is an official entry to Kaye and Pehpot's Blogversary Contest. If you haven't encountered this blog yet, read on to find out why it's worthy of a visit.

Here's a little trivia for you about the word psyche.

noun; pronounced as (seye-kee); the mind, soul, or spirit, as opposed to the body; in Greek Mythology: A young woman who loved and was loved by Eros and was united with him after Aphrodite's jealousy was overcome. She subsequently became the personification of the soul; In Roman Mythology: In Roman mythology, a beautiful girl who was visited each night in the dark by Cupid, who told her she must not try to see him. When she did try, while he was asleep, she accidentally dropped oil from her lamp on him, and he awoke and fled. After she had performed many harsh tasks set by Cupid's mother, Venus, Jupiter made her immortal, and she and Cupid were married. Her name is Greek for both “soul” and “butterfly.”

Sounds like a lot to handle eh?

Anyway, there's a blog that you must see! When I first opened it, I was immediately drawn to its cool template. I just love how it looks - the seagreen and brown color combination just complemented each other. It is two-column with the sidebar on the right and contains just enough useful gadgets, so that you don't get lost while you navigate. And oh, the labels are found at the bottom of the page so that if you are looking for them, you can enjoy reading the most recent posts without having to turn to the next page. The blog is written by Peppermayo but if you take a look at the navigation menu and click on "in whose psyche", you will find that her first name is Mae. Hmmm... I wonder how she got the name Peppermayo? Perhaps because she loves to use them together when she whips up a dip? She did mention that she can live on french fries...

In My Psyche is Peppermayo's personal blog where she chronicles the sweet and precious moments of her life. Currently, the author is based in the US with her hubby so that you will find a number of posts about her missing her Pilipinas, about her hubby, and her thoughts about living in the US. I enjoyed reading her random psyche pieces post where she recounted what she and her hubby did on Valentine's Day. I love the author's writing style: engaging and no beating around the bush.

If you want to get to know more bloggers, visit In My Psyche today. She will definitely let you into her thoughts and into her world.
