Change IS Constant

A few days ago, I received some very good news via email from Elevated Design Group. The email tells about me being one of the three winners in their Sizzling Hot Summer Promo 2010. It was one of the simplest contests that I joined in. I simply placed their badge and link on my blog's side bars and a month after, I luckily won in their drawings. It Ain't Over Till I Say It's Over

Yup, you heard me right!

And I meant Kaye and Pehpot's Blogversary Contest.


Although it has officially ended, I still just can't get over the fact that it has come to end... like most beautiful things should. The beauty of it though is that the friendship that was formed while the contest was ongoing has gone stronger. And the writing skills and the spamming, err... commenting skills were honed even more. Who Would Have Thought?

My dear Marce Pehpot sent me an instant message on YM this morning telling me that I am her favorite reviewer. I was puzzled at first then she clarified that I won the best review for her blog Make or Break. At first, I cannot believe her YM because I honestly do not think it would pass her scrutiny considering there are other well-written reviews by other great bloggers. But when I checked her latest post Winners of Post About the Contest, I just can't believe my eyes! It was indeed written Kikamz under Best Review for Make or Break. Today Is The Day!

Today officially marks the end of Kaye and Pehpot's Joint Blogversary Contest. And while most of you can now breath now that it is over, those bagging for the top prize are still left feeling anxious or even nervous? Why? Because our gracious hosts are yet to announce the winners on March 25th.

I have long given up on the top prize not because I have lost interest but because my schedule just won't allow it anymore. Perhaps it is all part of the "grand plan", the greater scheme of things that I be given other online opportunities. And because this blogger also needs to sleep for a couple of hours and has other "earthly" duties to attend to, doing my daily rounds of comments have become next to impossible.

Now I Can Breath!

I have been bracing myself these past few weeks... I must have been holding my breath too, figuratively of course, as I am racing against time and energy and my lust for writing. I finally reached a milestone in my blogging career today. I have pushed myself to the limit and got around to writing blog reviews for all the sponsors of Kaye and Pehpot's Joint Blogversarry Contest, from Major Sponsors down to the Level 3 sponsors.

I am happy and proud of what I have accomplished. I am thankful that the contest hosts decided to extend the contest because I was also able to finish writing my reviews and was able to give the blog sponsors the blog reviews that they so deserve. I have learned so much in this contest and also enjoyed a healthy competition with the other participants. I just hope that I did the blog sponsors and the blogs justice in all my reviews.

To The Ladies Behind All The Review Craze

Dearest Marces Kaye and Pehpot,

Today is the 3rd Thursday of the month and that means that it's a write-to-anybody-you-want day on Mys' meme: Letters That I'll Never Send. I may not have the chance to write to you ladies again so that I am grabbing this chance. So where do I start?

First I want to thank you ladies for the invitation to be one of the sponsors of the biggest blogging contest. Through it I have enjoyed backlinks to my site and wonderful reviews that gave me assurance that people find my blog interesting and worth reading. The reviews also allowed me to evaluate my blog and to fill in what's lacking.

Secondly, I want to let you know that allowing me as a sponsor to still join the contest has been a blessing to me, both personally and as a writer. It has indeed helped me to be better at writing reviews, or at least that's what I think. It has helped me to manage my time better. I must admit that it is not easy to write reviews, just completing the requirements was a task. A Review Race?

I have an ultimate goal to win a blog contest that offers $200 cash for the first prize. And to be able to do this, I have to diligently write reviews of all the blog sponsors, from the major ones down to Level 3.
