TCP#47: Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants

Hello dear Couchers and welcome to the July 13th edition of Tuesday Couch Potatoes where we post about a movie each week. The winners of my little giveaway is now up and if you still haven't seen the winners, I posted about it here.

Our theme for this week is: The Best Chick Flicks. There are lots of chick flicks out there that has made a mark in our hearts. These are the movies that made us feel different emotions all at the same time: grief, happiness, warmth, joy, sadness and had us feeling better in the end. These are the films that made a mark in our hearts and our lives. These are the films that made us shout with laughter and also made us cry with grief. If you have got one unforgettable chick flick to share, then come share it with us this week.

My pick for this week is the 2005 American film: The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants. It stars Amber Tamblyn, Blake Lively, Alexis Bledel, America Ferrera and Bradley Whitford. It is the story of about four best friends who practically grew up together and were separated for the first time for the summer. One is going to Greece to spend the summer with her grandparents, the other one is staying home, the other one is in soccer camp in Mexico and the other one is spending the summer with her father in South Carolina.  Before they part for the summer, they went to a thrift store and found a pair of pants that they found to fit them perfectly despite their different sizes. As a way of keeping together when they are apart, the girls decided to share the pants equally among themselves.

I really enjoyed this movie a lot because it makes one see that no matter how different people can be in their personalities, there is still something that will always draw them together and will make them the best of friends. The film teaches about life, love, friendship, acceptance, family, forgiveness and moving on.

What's your chick flick movie? Come share it with us and enter your TCP entry link in the linky below:

Thank you for joining us this week on Tuesday Couch Potatoes. I hope to see you all again next Tuesday, July 20th for another TCP movie with the theme: Road Films. Have a great week everyone! Take care and happy TCP!
