Mommy Moments: Let's Pretend

Children do love to play pretend. It is a sign that they are growing up normally and their imaginations can go a very long way. They might even have an imaginary friend that they have made up from the books that they've read or in the shows that they watch. My Samantha, young as she is, loves to play pretend too. Her usual is to pretend that somebody is calling her. She would use anything that resembles like a phone if our mobile phones or our wireless phone are not accessible, like our TV remote controls, her toy phone, even the flashlight. She would first say Laluu! (Hello!) and then she would babble and then after the short conversation, hang up and say Uh-u, Ba-ba! (Yes, Bye-bye!)

She also loves to pretend that she is going places. She would spread out the Japanese road maps that we have, lie on her stomach and point to many locations, as if she were planning her trips. Sometimes, I would ask her "Where do you want to go next Sam?" And she would point at a place and would babble as if she knows where it is and what it's called. Her babbles still make no sense to us but her actions just make me laugh! Too bad I wasn't able to capture a video. I only managed to take a shot or two.

If your child has a great imagination and loves to play pretend too, come share it with us at Mommy Moments!
