The Fall Season

When I was in Japan, I always anticipate the coming of Autumn because it means cooler days and colorful, fiery landscape. I just love watching the transition of the momiji from green to yellow to orange to different shades and hues of red until all the leaves fall from the bough.

But it is different here in Germany. The Fall season is marked by cold winds, dark and heavy skies, late daylight and shorter days. Sounds like it's always a gloomy day, eh? Lately, it has been like that and all I want to do is just curl up in bed. My little Sam seemed to change her sleeping pattern just recently too. She would wake up early in the morning (at around 6 or 6:30am when I get up) and would go back to sleep after she had her cartoons, breakfast and bath at around 10:30am.

It is not all that gloomy though because the fall season (Der Herbst) also marks the beginning of the Oktoberfest, which starts on the third week of September. Surely, the city will be flooded with beer and lots of merrymaking.

That said, it's time for me to call the Pedia to make an appointment for Sam today. It's her immunization and 18-month check-up so got to go. See you all later!

So It Was Talbots!

Remember that I was talking about Red Chair Confessions in one of my previous posts? The videos were indeed very intriguing that I kept thinking, "just what got this woman so hooked?" And more importantly, who were these videos from? Guess what? The big reveal is finally out and my, was I so surprised to find out to whom those videos were made for. At first I thought it were a campaign for a new movie about a person's addiction and obsessions but was I wrong!

Would you believe that is was from Talbots? Does the name ring a bell? Because it definitely did for me.

I can still clearly remember getting hold of their product catalog in my teenage years and the designs were elegant, classic and sophisticated, even expensive, made for the more mature, serious, successful and older people just like my Mom and aunts. I said to myself then, I would surely buy one when I am older and have a job of my own.

But if you check out the new Talbots today, you'd be in for a great surprise because it now has a a more fashionable and hip look, catering to the younger generation and they have made it more affordable too. I have always loved the classic look but I like the new styles even better because they have re-engineered it for a more chic and modern look.

Isn't the red cotton long-sleeved shirt with a dropped neck just gorgeous? You can find this and more great designs on their website. So please do check them out and tell me which item you fancy because I would love to know what you think.

Below is the latest reveal video from RedChairConfessions. It sure does make more sense now.

TCP#6: Beauty and The Beast

Welcome to the September 15th edition of Tuesday Couch Potatoes where we post about a movie each week. This week's theme is Favorite Disney Fairytale Movie. If you love princesses and knights in shining armor, fairy godmothers, good conquering evil and happy ever afters, then come join us this week!

The child in me just loves fairytale movies especially if they come from Walt Disney Pictures. One of my favorites is Beauty and The Beast, an animated classics loved by millions.

The famous ballroom dance from the movie.

As you may all know, Beauty and the Beast is the story of Belle, a provincial French maiden and Prince Adam who was cursed by an enchantress and was turned into a beast because of his incapacity to love and arrogance. The only thing that can break the spell is when he learns to love and he is also loved in return before the last petal from his enchanted rose fell. Is it possible that somebody could love a Beast after all?

Their paths soon crossed when one fateful day Maurice (an inventor and Belle's father) got lost in the woods and stumbled upon the castle when he was attacked by wolves. He was kept by Beast in the castle dungeon and Philippe, her Father's horse returned to the village to get Belle and brought her to the castle to find her father. Belle then offers to take his place and agreed to stay in the castle forever. They both have their differences yet they slowly learn from their differences, and as the song goes... "finding you can change" and "learning you were wrong".

Among my favorite scenes were when Beast surprised Belle and showed her the library, and when they were feeding the birds one fine, snowy day.

Beauty and the Beast may be a fairytale movie but it teaches a lot of lessons. It teaches us to never judge a person by how they look but on the states of their hearts. It teaches us that anybody can change, even the meanest person. It teaches us that true love can indeed make miracles, literally or figuratively!

Here's a preview of the movie:

Naiveté Gets the Better of Me

I have been with Adgitize for sometime now and I must admit, it has helped a lot in terms of traffic and has improved my Alexa ranking. And I have been reading countless blog posts stating that they have already earned and paid this much and that much because of Adgitize. And I am green with envy! How come they are earning in just a matter of months and I have not? I have been clicking on adgitize ads (51 or more a day) for days now and still my earnings haven't improved. What could I have done wrong?! Then Mommy Pehpot of Make or Break answered my question. I should have known better to have logged in to Adgitize first before I started clicking. I am that naive!

Oh yes. That does the trick. You should be logged in first before you start clicking on your adgi ads on your site or on others' sites for your click/visit to be counted. So if you are one of those like me, now you know. :D
