Tagged! :D

I have been waiting for a long time for somebody to tag me with this one! So glad that Anik of Lover Mushroom remembered me. Hehehe! I just love doing tags like this because they are fun and it reminds me of how hubby and I came to be. Thanks girl!

~Mine is R while his is B.

How long have you been together?
~10 years as lovers and 2 years, 9 months as a married couple.

How long did you know each other before you started dating?
~A few months.

Who asked whom out?
~I forgot. It just sort of happened.

How old are each of you?
~I am 29days older than him.

Whose siblings do you see the most?
~As of the moment none. My siblings are in the Philippines, his brother is in England and we are in Germany.

Which situation is the hardest on you as a couple?
~Making ends meet. :D

Did you go to the same school?
~When we were in college, yes.

Are you from the same home town?
~Yeah.

Who is smarter?
~He is smarter when it comes to analysis and logic and electronics. I am smarter when it comes to writing, remembering numbers and lyrics, and anything artsy. :D

Who is the more sensitive?
~ME.

Where do you eat out most as a couple?
~At Malativas, a barbeque joint near the university.

Who has the crazier exes?
~We didn't have exes. We are each other's "one and only".

Who has the worse temper?
~I have a temper. But I don't explode. I just keep to myself. And this in turn makes him angry.

Who does the cooking?
~I always do the cooking now that we are together. But when I am not feeling well, he cooks. And when I was still in the Philippines, he cooks. He has no choice, or else he'll starve! :D

Who is the neat-freak?
~I am the OC-OC in the house!

Who is more stubborn?
~Both of us.

Who hogs the bed?
~Not us but Samantha! She would turn 90° while she sleeps so that hubby and I are pushed to the edge of the bed.

Who wakes up earlier?
~I do on weekdays. He does on weekends.

Who is more jealous?
~We are both jealous lovers ;) LOL

How long did it take to get serious?
~just months

Who eats more?
~He does.

Who does the laundry?
~I do. I mean, the washing machine does. I just do the hanging and folding and ironing. :p

Who’s better with the computer?
~He is. I turn to him whenever I experience technical difficulties with my desktop. ;)

Who drives when you are together?
~He always does. I don't know how to drive. :D LOL

Girl Talk: My Favorite Bag


I am not much of a bag person. I only buy one when it is necessary. And come to think of it, I don't even have a handbag that I can call my own, except maybe for this little canvas shoulder bag that I carry around when we go sightseeing. It is very handy and contains my essentials: my wallet, pencil case, spare camera batteries, a lipgloss, hand cream and sanitizer and passports.

Then of course there is Samantha's diaper bag which I carry most of the time when we take Sam out. I love the color and the design because it is multifunctional. It can hold lots of things without looking too bulky. It can be attached to her stroller so that I have nothing else to carry, or I can wear it as a shoulder bag or as a body bag.

When Sleep Evades...


Sleeping is an essential part of a human being's activity. It is important because it allows for our whole bodily systems to rest and in turn give us that youthful glow. Thus it is also important to follow a certain sleeping routine. I am fortunate enough because I don't have any difficulty sleeping. Even if something preoccupies my mind, sleep still comes to me like a mother embracing her child. But for those of you who are unfortunate and get insomnia attacks every now and then, just like my hubby, then the following just might help:

A comfortable sleeping environment. Lights must be kept low and if you can't sleep without lights, then night lights in the hallway or the bathroom will do. The room temperature should also be comfortable for you. You may also opt to play some relaxing background music but keep the volume level low.

Caffeine and Medicine Intake. If you are a coffee drinker or are taking medications, chances are you will find it hard to sleep. Caffeine and other chemicals in the medicine may affect sleep. It would be smart to cut down on your coffee intake at the later part of the day and take your medication during the day.

Stress and Work Shift. If you are stressed out and work on shifts, your body clock is affected. Try to relax your body before going to bed. Getting a light massage, listening to soothing music or soaking your feet in lukewarm water with a few lemon squeezes and salt will do the trick.

Consult a doctor. If you still are having problems sleeping, it would of course be wise to consult a doctor. They will know what to do, and when deemed necessary will prescribe sleeping medication and/or sleeping supplements like melatonin.

When Sleep Evades...

But despite this, I sometimes getting enough hours of sleep forgranted. When I got pregnant, I see to it that I get enough sleep even if sometimes it proved difficult. I never had any problems with sleeping though. But Hubby does. He gets insomnia attacks every now and then most especially if he is stressed out at work, if he can't stop himself from thinking about something like this program he is working on, or when something gets his attention and thus, preoccupies his mind the entire evening.
