The Fall Season

When I was in Japan, I always anticipate the coming of Autumn because it means cooler days and colorful, fiery landscape. I just love watching the transition of the momiji from green to yellow to orange to different shades and hues of red until all the leaves fall from the bough.

But it is different here in Germany. The Fall season is marked by cold winds, dark and heavy skies, late daylight and shorter days. Sounds like it's always a gloomy day, eh? Lately, it has been like that and all I want to do is just curl up in bed. My little Sam seemed to change her sleeping pattern just recently too. She would wake up early in the morning (at around 6 or 6:30am when I get up) and would go back to sleep after she had her cartoons, breakfast and bath at around 10:30am.

It is not all that gloomy though because the fall season (Der Herbst) also marks the beginning of the Oktoberfest, which starts on the third week of September. Surely, the city will be flooded with beer and lots of merrymaking.

That said, it's time for me to call the Pedia to make an appointment for Sam today. It's her immunization and 18-month check-up so got to go. See you all later!
